Novartis Campus – Fabrikstrasse 2

«Novartis Campus – Fabrikstrasse 2» continues the Novartis Campus publication series. But unlike the volumes that have already appeared, which were architectural monographs about each of the new buildings, this volume focuses on the entire entrance area as an interface between the city and the Campus.

Three different disciplines are addressed: the architecture of the entrance pavilion and underground car park, the landscape architecture in the park and the artistic contributions. Marco Serra’s glass pavilion, its roof seemingly afloat, welcomes Campus visitors with transparency and elegance. Günther Vogt and his landscape architects tell a story of the Rhine landscape, with ravines, dense forest, erratic rocks, gravel and meadows. Finally, artists Ulrich Rückriem and Eva Schlegel have made a crucial impact on the Campus with their work.

The book offers essays by Paolo Fumagalli (architecture), Alice Foxley (the park landscape) and Jacqueline Burckhardt (art). The photographs are by Christian Vogt, and an inventory rounds off the lavishly illustrated volume.
