Frank O. Gehry’s spectacular new building for the Novartis Campus

  • with numerous illustrations and plans

The new deconstructivist building by Frank O. Gehry houses offices and a library. The basement has a computer centre and an auditorium that seats 600. The publication on this central, crystalline building for the Novartis Campus in Basel also contains texts written by famous authors, photographs, plans and an inventory.

The Californian architect Frank O. Gehry gained world fame with his Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. The first Gehry building in Europe was the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein. Numerous other international buildings followed, such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and projects in other countries. In 1989 Gehry received the most prestigious international award for architects, the Pritzker Prize.
