Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger re-interpret the Totentanz
- With numerous illustrations of the whimsical total installation during the Basel Autumn Fair
- In collaboration with many renowned artists
The painting known as the Basler Totentanz
, which was destroyed in 1805, holds the position of an icon in the European tradition. Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger have engaged with the motif and significance of the danse macabre
