The wonderful world of Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger
- 14 expansive works from the last five years
- exhibition at Galerie Stampa Basel from 24 January to 27 March 2010
The Mystery of Fertility highlights 14 expansive, site-specific, growing and transient installations by Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger – abounding imagination, burgeoning bio-diversity and crystallizing artificial fertilizers in an open-plan office, a foundation library, a waste oil biotope or an old silver mine.
The many colour illustrations survey the respective situations and changes, and also focus on individual parts or details. Texts written by both artists explain the most important links in the genesis of the works, the research involved or the materials collected.
